Quail

The farm initially raised bobwhite quail, but switched to Japanese Quail, or Coturnix Quail, years ago after finding them juicier and tastier. The quail has a dress weight of 5-7 ounces of dark meat and are sold in packs of four. They are bred, hatched, and raised in large open barns where they can fly and exercise, making for a better tasting bird. Quail eggs are also always on sale in packs of two-dozen in the Farm Market.
